You may want to plan ahead as the museum is about 25 minutes away from the Bonaventure Resort by car, but this unique museum is definitely worth the trip. You will be amazed by the largest collection of Packard cars in the country as well other memorabilia from the first half of 20th century America.

The goal of founder Arthur Stone was to memorialize the former glory and elegance of Packard automobiles. Needless to say, the Fort Lauderdale Antique Car Museum definitely meets that goal. In fact, the museum contains one car from each year that the manufacturer was in business, lasting from 1900-1958. In addition to the pristine car exhibits, the museum also contains collections of gas station signs, hood ornaments, magazine, photographs, and even a section dedicated to President Franklin Roosevelt. The Fort Lauderdale Antique Car Museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. All visitors 12 and older are asked to make a $10 donation to help with the upkeep of the museum while entry for younger children is only $5. With a wide variety of exhibits from 1900-1950, one of the most interesting and exciting times in American history, The Fort Lauderdale Antique Car Museum definitely has something for everyone to enjoy. It is a good idea to call before your visit to make sure that the museum is not closed for a private event.

After a fun day exploring the largest collection of Packard Automobiles in the country, make your way back to the Bonaventure Resort to relax before a laid back dinner at the Cabana Bar & Grill where you just have to try the signature Bonaventure Sunset. It is the perfect way to enjoy a nice relaxing and informative day.
