Have a Wildlife Adventure

To some people, pink flamingos are simply decorations for the front lawn, but at Flamingo Gardens, the beautiful birds are the stars of the show. Located less  than 15 minutes from the Bonaventure Resort, Flamingo Gardens is home to both Botanical Gardens and a Wildlife Sanctuary. The gardens include over 3,000 exotic species of plants, most of which are native to South Florida. Additionally, you are to see some of the largest trees in the entire state of Florida. The Wildlife Sanctuary is home to exciting native wildlife like panthers, bobcats, peacocks, bears, eagles, otters, and, of course, flamingos. Flamingo Gardens is open everyday from 9:30 AM until 5 PM and is the perfect place to get lost for a few hours and truly experience the wonders of Florida’s rich wildlife. There is even a narrated Tram Tour where you can get exclusive access to 42-acres of Flamingo Gardens that is otherwise inaccessible to the public.
