Roots, Rock Reggae

There is something incredibly unique and special about the culture and performance of reggae music. In an installation that will be open until September 30 at the Pompano Beach Cultural Center, you can see the power of reggae through the photographs of David I. Muir. The Cultural Center is only about 30 minutes from the Bonaventure Resort and Spa, and this one of a kind exhibit is definitely worth the drive. Titled David I. Muir’s Reggae Reel, the collection is available daily and with no admission charge. Muir used his position as a DJ, concert promoter, and talent manager to gain close access to a wide range of reggae artists which resulted in some truly breathtaking photographs. In addition to the photos, there is a video installation filled with graphics and selected lyrics from artists like Marcia Griffiths, Buju Banton, Koffee, Chronixx, and many more. Whether you are a reggae lover or just a fan of musical history, you are sure to enjoy David I. Muir’s Reggae Reel.
